The exhaustion of not knowing anything about NU the person is tiring and very hard on the nerves. Every hour spent searching on line for a bit of information to no avail gets you weaker. Upon failure growing with each step so miserable, you catch yourself thinking how dismal, how heavy it is to listen to NU’s mix and another one and more to come – the whole sequence looped to never end the indulgence – and to know virtually nothing of the individual behind his music.

With so many photographers out there with skills substituted and virtually eradicated by fully-automatic gadgetry, it is harder than ever to stand your own ground, to believe in your own vision, to listen to and hear your own voice. But somehow, paradoxically, it's not a huge issue for Carolin Saage, if at all. Caro's artistic self-confidence and the quality of her work obtains largely from her being in the right place at the right time.
Meet Frank Rübcke, known for his eclectic taste, sweeping collection that spans decades of obsession with music in the range from original Blues to outer space free-form Electronic, enthusiasm for exotic and quaint (not excluding downright unlistenable) stuff, across-the-board erudition in the subject, extravagant playlist arrangement techniques and his plentiful (in the same measure – outré) stage alias. Octupone is one of them.
Frank's career as a DJ stretched for more than four decades making him a true veteran on the world's scene, with the most notable references being his residency at legendary Soul Kitched (Hamburg), Mojo Club (ibid.), famed Bar Thousand (Berlin) where aside from spinning records Frank had been for years the director of programming; Amano Bar, Das Stue (Berlin), Edo (Tokyo), Mermaid Lounge (New Orleans), and Papaya Playa Project (Tulum, Mexico) which Rübcke considers his wintering base giving its beach club soul and distinctive melodic character.
His life-long career in the club culture and his general take on music are partially captured in the video interview titled "Frank Rübcke and his Way of Music."
DJ Octupone is with Scorpios for the summer to give it real timeless groove.
Sunset is the main event at the moment as depicted. With the Sun well below the horizon, our guest Brando Baldan is using his fine extra saturation optics to pull out more colors from what remains of it in the sky to prolong the moment. "Ah, linger on, thou art so fair!" (Goethe: Faust)

"It is a celebration of traditional craftsmanship, organic materials and a bohemian style interior design, presenting a tactile, laid-back luxury atmosphere..."

Nour has been spinning records for years – first to herself, as it goes, searching for a sound that would reverberate with her soul. She ultimately found one in between various genres, modulated by her moods. She connects to music through a myriad of influences originating from her abound personal experiences living in very different cultural and natural environments. Born Palestinian, ever since cosmopolitan... this alone speaks volumes.
Nour emerged as a consummate and inimitable stage identity first in Toronto, her more or less permanent base, then on the international scene through her involvement with a number of momentous and paradigmatic projects. PPP in Tulum (Mexico) is most notably one of them, a Caribbean brainchild of legendary Bar 25/KaterHolzig (once and to be always the case). She has been a resident with the beach club since 2012 – the one-of-a-kind open-plan venue that, through ecstatic reviews in the global Media (from Vogue to Wall Street Journal), has allegedly kick-started the development of the entire area making the small town one of the most desirable destinations in the world.
Since 2014, she has been in charge of the scene at Gitano, another and most recent gypset outpost in Tulum, booking DJs worldwide for her time-off at the decks in the jungle.
Her credo is Deep House and currently she is in the right place with it. In our Aegean seaside house we love it deep. Anything but shallow and fake.
Cleverly combining spirit, passion and honesty that threads into each dynamic composition, Osunlade’s remarkable gifts have colored the scores of many of the music industry greats including Patti Labelle, India. Arie, Roy Ayers, Lauryn Hill and beyond. Musicality and integrity puts him in the forefront of house music.
Instead of pitching to the effect Scorpios is absolute the best club in the World, in the Universe... in the Infinity of Space and Eternity of Time, may we just post this one picture we've found on Instagram today, taken by Lorra Inehks, one of our guests with an eye both to the Sublime and good time.
Haven't we just made this grandiose claim, though, anyway? Implicitly. Perhaps even a much stronger one... Let's call it our deep-seated ambition. And it's all in your name, dear supporters.

"The idea for our new project was born out of the inspiration we gathered wandering around the world..." -- say Michael Schickinger and Annabell Kutucu who were involved in the concept development. Among the places that galvanized their vision for Scorpios they refer to Burning Man. The idea is as well conceived as it is received. You can trace it in the Instagram itinerary of our guest Wanda Grandi, a Brazilian TV presenter, a model, sport addict, and advocate of healthy lifestyle, whose stunningly romantic shot of Sunset Scorpios is followed by the fascinating imagery of Black Rock City in the desert.
It's a part of her intimately experiential continuum:
"Then, she began to breathe, and live, and every moment took her to a place where goodbyes were hard to come by. She was in love. She was in love with her life, and for the first time, in a long time, everything was inspiring..."
