THE SUNDAY with Sneaky Sound System, Jean Claude Ades and Kaz James

Dating back all the way to the origins of Scorpios, this breezy sunset-colored series captures the jovial spirit of Mykonos and feeds on its fluent high-voltage energies by bringing the entire island together. Mykonos comes here on Sunday, comes to dance, to dance like there is no Monday. Waving at Ibiza, it’s pure house music that vibes the dance floor – its most melodic and seismic type.

It was back in 2004 when vocalist Miss Connie and DJ/producer Black Angus started making beautiful music together. Three chart-topping and critically acclaimed albums, vocal contributions to records by Kanye West and Jay-Z,  and a nomination in the International DJ Awards, cemented their reputation as one of the most dynamic and unique live electronic acts in the world. Back for their 4th season, the Australian duo take us on a house music journey - from slow chugging burners to groove-laden euphoria - amplified by Connie’s sublime vocals. It is the sound of summer.

An Australian of both Italian and Greek descent, the unique triple heritage of Kaz James is an influential force on his musical output unlike most on the underground dance music scene. His newest single “Animal” on Dennis Ferrer's Objektivity label is already a summer favorite around the world, and Kaz has further releases and remixes in the pipeline with labels such as Saved and Circus. With a busy schedule and no sign of stopping, Kaz is solidifying his status as a true innovator and curator of unique and rugged minimalistic beats.

Growing up listening to the likes of Carl Cox and Pete Tong, Melbourne native Kaz James knew he wanted to be a DJ from an early age. In addition to boasting a CV that includes residencies at Pacha Ibiza and One Love Records—one of the most successful club nights in Australia—Kaz James has produced tracks for Kelis and Macy Gray among others, as well as masterminding the immensely successful Shoreditch Grind. With a recognizable sound that takes inspiration from jazz, rare groove, house, and his Greek-Italian heritage, Kaz James has now gained the seal of approval from Burning Man, Coachella, and BPM Festival to name a few.
